PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – Multiple people were arrested and more than $2,000 worth of merchandise was recovered during a shoplifting operation conducted by the Portland Police Bureau (PPB).


On Wednesday, several PPB teams worked together to conduct a shoplifting mission in downtown Portland and the Pearl District.

Ten people are now without a home after a two-alarm fire in Seaside Thursday.

During the mission, PPB made 11 arrests and recovered approximately $2,428 in stolen products, PPB said.


PPB recognizes that smaller local businesses are also affected by shopliftingPPB said in a press release:and it is our belief and goal that arresting and holding prolific thieves accountable will help reduce these crimes for the entire business community.”
